MARIANNES MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Friday 26. 1, Marianne ”the warrior princess”, arrived in Tromsø to visit and inspect her rebellion troops. Saterday, every member of the ”Jedi academy” with a drinking problem.., that is almost everybody, had to report in to her ”highness” ready to party. After hanging in different vorspieles, the whole gang smashed together at the disco ”strøket” in the heart of Tromsø. The Norvegian Champion, Jon Kristian Røyseth, who still wasn`t sober from the trip to Oslo last week, tried out some completely new dance moves to some really ugly tracks from the seventies, but quite fast, "thank god", got to realize his limitations. Jon was later constantly to be observed at the bar..., where he also stayed for most of the ”Memorial Tournament” the day after. Samson Hoiigard was put away in a dark corner after the Warrior Princess and her sister ,Ingvild, convinced him that he would get a free beer...if he just stopped singing!. Nobody was into heavy metal anyway!!! Marianne was in a glittering mood and even tried to get ObiGeir, the rebellion leader, out on the dancefloor. After desperately trying to explain the princess that he was not a good dancer, like in the game of backgammon, he had to give in to the pressure and trie a few steps. And..what can U say...The ”force” was just not present, and the ”jedi” was soon hit back at the barpoint, joining Jon Røyseth in a furious discussion about the Crawford Rule. Ending in something like this...”we are human beeings..., we have rights!! Man..., I want to double!...eh what`s up with that cute looking tequila over there???”. Not very intelligent really...but hey!! No one ever accused us of being that!!!! Nils Ravnbø, which is to much of a whiskey man, tried to find out if the dancefloor went downhill or uphill. He then took a guick drool over every chick in the area, but after a small rollout, which showed that he was clearly not the favourite, he aimed for the Kebab shops and mysteriously dissapaired into the night. The rest of the evening went smoothly without any kind of big scandals.

Finally it was Tournament day. Everybody showed up in various conditions. And Mariannes memorial Tournament was ready to fly. The warrior princess started out really well, trashing Samson on her way for survivial in the group. But it was close, and she ended up in a desicive match against the ”jedi” himself, where the cube ironicly almost was turned in the Crawford game by Marianne. But after a quick repetition of the rules and a quick explenation why chapter 3 in ”the black book of Shaab” – ”Things to do with the cube when u`re drunk”, was bad reading, Geir got away with loosing only one point. He then went on, with help from the ”force” and other higher powers, to win the match and sadly send Marianne out of the tournament. The final was played between Samson Hoiigard and Frode Bull Jæger, where destiny gave Frode the edge.

Anyway..., the warrior princess was very pleased with the tournament and with the development at the Jedi Academy, and promised to come back every year, to keep the moral among the rebellion troops at it`s best.

PS: After releasing the JEDI REPORT to the people, we have recieved enormous responds from every corner of the world. I want to thank everybody who still "belives....". Aplications to the JEDI ACADEMY will be answered in 2-3 weeks after they are sendt in. Don`t loose hope..., and what ever U do..., don`t ever mess with "the power of Yoga"
